One of the most popular smart bands has been the Xiaomi Mi Band for a couple of years. At the end of March last year, the Chinese company presented the sixth generation of this bracelet – Xiaomi Mi Band 6. Now we find out when its successor will be unveiled.
Xiaomi shared a teaser photo that reveals when the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 will be unveiled. The company announced that this would happen on May 24 in China.
Based on the teaser photo, the design of the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 smart band seems to be very similar to the design of its predecessor. Like previous models, Xiaomi is expected to introduce the Mi Band 6 in both standard and NFC-enabled editions.
Xiaomi states that the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 will be more comfortable to wear compared to its predecessor. It will reportedly offer better performance and will have support for even more sporting activities, with a better user experience, thanks to a customized and sleek user interface.
Previous reports indicate that the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 will be equipped with a 1.56 “AMOLED screen with 490 x 192 pixels resolution. In addition to even more sports activities, the band will reportedly offer more options for monitoring the health and fitness of users. In addition, it is stated that the band could also offer an intelligent alarm feature and an energy-saving mode.
It is also reported that the bracelet will have a sensor for measuring blood oxygen levels, which its predecessor brought. Some more optimistic reports state that the seventh generation of the popular Xiaomi smart bracelet could also get GPS support, which is unlikely, however, given the expected price of this device (around $70)
