If the latest official financial report is to be believed, Apple is doing pretty well. The company pointed out that in March, it achieved a record number of sold iPhone, Mac, and portable devices, as well as less represented home accessories.

5% more iPhones were sold than in the same period last year, which brought in $50.6 billion in revenue. News of improved sales comes from a company that has invested heavily in supply systems while other hardware manufacturers have struggled with component shortages during the global pandemic.

The numbers in Apple’s report are a stark contrast to the situation with other phone makers, where there is no way out.

Mac devices, meanwhile, saw the biggest increase in sales, up 15 percent from last year, bringing the company $10.4 billion. The category has also seen an increase in interest recently, in part due to the benefits offered by the new Apple chips.

Refreshed products such as the iMac and Mac Pro paired with the new Mac Studio have renewed interest in the Apple brand. It is necessary to add the overall increase in interest in hardware during the pandemic caused by working from home. Portable devices, home accessories, and other accessories grew by 12 percent – to 8.8 billion dollars. The only murky part of the story is, once again, the iPad, whose sales fell by two percent compared to the same quarter last year.

All of this, combined with a 17 percent increase in services, contributed to a great financial quarter for the American manufacturer – which can truly be called a blow in the midst of the current era of global insecurity.

“This quarterly result is a testament to Apple’s continued focus on innovation and our ability to create the best products and services worldwide,” said company CEO Tim Cook.
