The Indian division of the popular Japanese company Honda – Honda Cars India, presented Honda City e:HEV hybrid electric sedan in India. Honda states that this electric sedan will bring an impressive assessment of fuel efficiency. This is the first Honda hybrid electric vehicle in India, which Honda hopes will serve even greater demand for this type of vehicle in this country.
Honda City e:HEV has a hybrid system with two self-charging engines, connected to a 1.5-liter gasoline engine. It is capable of delivering 126 hp of power, and the fuel efficiency is an incredible 26.5 km per liter. The electric motor is connected to Honda’s eCVT.
Honda City e: HEV offers a variety of driving modes, such as Sport and Econ modes, to enhance the driving experience. The Multi-Information Display (MID) reveals a driving efficiency indicator, an efficiency progress indicator, energy flow, and fuel economy. Also, this sedan gets Honda’s new ADAS package that includes trajectory assistance, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam control, deviation warning, and a collision mitigation brake system.
In addition to the safety package, Honda is also introducing a new version of its CONNECT technology that will be available on this car. It is a connection between the car system and the user’s smartphone, which allows the user to map the screen of their smartphone via Honda CONNECT.
