The latest software update for the LTE variants of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 +, and Galaxy S20 Ultra carries the firmware version G98xFXXSDFVC9. The 5G variants of the phone get a new update with the firmware version G98xBXXSDFVC9.
The new update brings the April 2022 security patch that fixes over 88 privacy and security vulnerabilities. This could also bring improvements to stability and some general bug fixes.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 series in early 2020 with Android 10. An update for Android 11 was released last year, and an update for Android 12 was released earlier this year.
One of the higher mid-range phones, the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, is next in line for an update. Unfortunately, the update started from the UAE, so users in Europe and the rest of the world will have to wait a little longer, and probably everyone will have this update in a few weeks.
