In March, information reappeared that Samsung could use the Taiwanese company’s chips, and it was added that the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 will launch the upcoming Galaxy S22 FE model. Then the Korean media suggested that the Galaxy S23 will also get a MediaTek chipset.
However, the latest information indicates that Samsung does not have such plans. The company will not use MediaTek chips for the Galaxy S22 FE or Galaxy S23, which means they will hit the market with the usual Snapdragon and Exynos chips, depending on the region.
For now, everything is still shrouded in mystery, but for Samsung, it would not make too much sense to give up its Exynos chips, especially after the effort to hire AMD as well.
On the other hand, MediaTek has made significant progress over the last few years and has finally started shipping more premium chips for phones, and the Dimensity 9000 looks very promising.
