The chip in this year’s high-end Android mobile phone market is either Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 chip or MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip. In the second half of the year, Qualcomm’s main high-end chip will be upgraded to the “Snapdragon 8 Plus” created by TSMC 4nm.

According to the usual practice and the process upgrade, this Snapdragon 8+ will also improve its high-frequency performance. MediaTek will definitely not sit still and wait to be defeated as a competitor.

According to the revelation of well-known blogger @Digital Gossip Station, MediaTek is also testing a high-frequency version for Dimensity 9000, which can raise the X2 super-large core from 3.05GHz to 3.2GHz. It is understood that Dimensity 9000 adopts TSMC’s 4nm process and adopts the “1+3+4” architecture. It consists of 1 Cortex-X2 super-large core, 3 Cortex-A710 large cores, and 4 Cortex-A510 small cores, with a CPU maximum main frequency of 3.05G. Hz, with 8MB L3 cache and 6MB SLC.

In addition, @Digital Chat Station also said interestingly that because Snapdragon 8 and Dimensity 9000 will have high-frequency versions, if they finally land, they will evolve into “fire dragon” and “tkey”, and Dimensity 8100 processors, as sub-flagship processors, will win and become a new high-performance favorite this year.

As a chip launched by MediaTek in March this year, Dimensity 8100 is built by TSMC’s 5nm process and adopts the core architecture of “4+4”. It consists of 4 Cortex A78 cores and 4 Cortex A55 small cores, of which the CPU’s main frequency is up to 2.85GHz. The GPU is the 6-core G610 MC6, which has improved performance and graphics performance compared with the previous generation of processors.
