WhatsApp still does not have an easy way to communicate with numbers that are not saved in your contacts. Although you can send messages to unsaved contacts, the whole process can be much simpler.
The new beta version for Android shows that WhatsApp is trying to solve this problem.
Simply tapping an unsaved number in the chat bubble will open several options, one of which will allow you to send a message to that number immediately. Other options appear when you tap this unsaved number “Call” and “Add to contacts” appear.
The new implementation is still not perfect.
The main limitation is that these options are only possible if they already exist in the chat. This means that the number had to send you a message before or you did, in order for the options to be available to you.
When all is said and done, we go back to the beginning, and nothing new is introduced. Thanks, WhatsApp!
