Garmin states that this fitness tracker can offer up to seven days of autonomy without monitoring blood oxygen during sleep, but the company has not revealed the battery capacity.
The Vivosmart 5 comes with the usual range of health and fitness features, such as heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, sports activity monitoring, pedometer, etc. The fit band can also measure blood oxygen levels (depending on the region) and stress levels, as well as energy levels in the body. Vivosmart 5 also has the ability to monitor the menstrual cycle for women.
Garmin specifically highlighted the Fitness Age feature, which uses your age, weekly activity, resting heart rate, and BMI (body mass index) to assess whether your body is younger or older than it actually is. There is also a security and monitoring feature for selected outdoor activities. It allows you to send alerts to your contacts in an emergency, which further sends your location to contacts.
Among other features, the Garmin Vivosmart 5 has smart alerts (for calls / SMS / applications) as well as 5ATM water resistance.
It is available in 3 colors – white, black, and mint with three size options – small, medium, and large. The price of the Garmin Vivosmart 5 bracelet is $ 150 in the United States and it is already available for purchase.
