Sony has introduced three PlayStation Plus subscription models starting in June

Given Microsoft's huge earnings on Game Pass, it was only a matter of time before Sony made the same move with its PlayStation Plus program.

Microsoft’s Game Pass subscription model, which offers all its titles for Xbox and PC, as well as a host of others that can be found on this service, has so far gathered a community of 25 million players, which is estimated to earn approximately $250 million a month. Given such figures, it has been speculated for several months whether or not Sony will make a similar move with its PlayStation Plus.

According to a new official statement, the new rules that somehow connect PS Plus and PS Now will start in early June, when they will come to life in some parts of Asia, followed by North America, Europe, and after them the rest of the world. According to the statement, after the new PS Plus starts, PlayStation Now will no longer be available and subscribers will migrate to PlayStation Plus Premium, and Extra and Premium models will offer players free to play hits such as Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11 and Returnal, while Sony is working closely with partners to keep the list up to date.
