The price war between AMD and Nvidia is heating up, and favorable graphics are finally arriving
The price of AMD graphics cards has finally started to fall, and Nvidia models are slowly joining them. It sounds silly, but it looks like the world will soon be able to buy AMD graphics at the recommended price.
It all started when one of the largest online retailers in the US, Newegg, drastically lowered the prices of AMD graphics, dangerously approaching the recommended prices (those advertised at premieres), and soon other retailers followed the same path.

According to the current price situation in the USA, AMD graphics are about 5% above the recommended prices, which has not happened since 2019. Although in normal conditions this is not a reason to rejoice, in the last three years nothing about prices has been normal, so this development is a step for the better.
For example, the price of AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT fell by 15%, 6700 XT by 14% and 6800 XT by 13%. The graphics presented in May, the Radeon RX 6950 XT with a suggested retail price of $ 1,100, sells for that much on the Newegg site, while the budget-oriented Radeon RX 6650 XT sells for around $ 400.

This move by retailers has shaken up the graphics card market, but the situation with Nvidia models is a bit more complicated. Namely, after Nicehash announced a way to unlock most RTX 30 models and use them to dig up cryptocurrencies, stocks of LHR graphics have skyrocketed around the world.
However, the fall in prices compared to April was about 6%, which is the way we want prices to move in the coming months. Globally, Nvidia graphics prices sell for about 35% more than the recommended price.
This is good news, especially for gamers who can now finally afford quality graphics that don’t cost as much as a good gaming laptop. We should also take into account the fact that the fall in prices is a consequence of the stabilization of production and volume, as well as the fall in the price of cryptocurrencies, which is bad for miners and investors in cryptocurrencies, and good for gamers.
