8 years ago Apple produced the first 13-inch MacBook Pro with a Retina display, which was today added to its list of obsolete products.
The Retina display was first introduced in 15-inch MacBook Pro which was released in mid-2012. In October of that year, the 13-inch MacBook Pro was updated with a Retina display, flash storage and better processor.
In July of last year, the 15-inch MacBook Pro became obsolete, which is now followed by a 13-inch model. If Apple classifies their product as “obsolete”, after at least seven years, that means that the model is unable to receive any hardware services provided by Apple or its service providers.
