Microsoft’s Age of Empires Fan Preview event was held over the weekend, and we learned a lot of new information about the Age of Empires IV game. We have been working on the new game for several years, and now we have an approximate period of publication – autumn 2021.
In addition to information about the release period, we also got new gameplay, which shows us the early stages of construction, the conflict with enemies, and how buildings can be upgraded by progressing through the game.
Age of Empires IV will have four periods and eight playful civilizations. The civilizations discovered so far are the English, Chinese, Mongol, and Delhi Sultanates, and they will extend through four periods – Medieval, Feudal, Castle and Imperial.
Developers have also unveiled Norman Campaign for the single-player component of the game.
Age of Empires IV is expected later this year, and the game will be available for the Xbox Game Pass for PC, Steam, and Windows Store platforms.
