Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the transfer to the USB-C port will be carried out on other Apple devices, not only on iPhone models.
A few months ago, the European Commission recommended that charging via cable for all devices should be USB-C. These include phones, tablets, cameras, headphones, portable speakers and handheld consoles.
The motivation behind this move is to help reduce e-waste, as users will continue to use existing cables for different devices. Apple seems to be preparing for this change.
In the previous days, there were reports that the iPhone will switch to USB-C charging from 2023. Now analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the transfer to the USB-C port will be carried out on other Apple devices as well.

These include AirPods, Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, MagSafe Battery Pack and others. It is not known whether the European Commission’s recommendation applies to all the mentioned devices, but it seems that Apple will switch to USB-C charging in any case.
Kuo points out that the transfer to USB-C will happen at some point in the future, but it is not known exactly whether it will happen during 2023.
The analyst also rejected the idea of an iPhone without ports, which charges wirelessly. He said the MagSafe system is still not mature enough for that, nor is wireless technology.
