Industry insider Jeff Grubb claims that Need For Speed is still expected during this year, and the game should arrive in November. “If you’re a Need For Speed fan who bought the next-generation console, here’s the news for you – it will only be for the next generation console,” Grubb points out.
This contradicts the original announcements from EA, which pointed out that Criterion Games will develop the upcoming game and will be available for the PS4 / Xbox One generation of consoles, as well as for next-generation systems.
The unavailability of previous versions of consoles will certainly be disappointing for fans of the franchise who are not able to buy the latest consoles.
