Sony Xperia 1 IV – Official release date (VIDEO)

Japanese company Sony is ready to present the next generation of Xperia phones. The company’s mobile department announced today when the next Xperia phone will be unveiled.

In a 58-second video, Sony announced that a new phone from their offering is coming soon. Although the company has not revealed exactly which phone it is, it is quite clear that we will see a new flagship phone, which will arrive as the successor to the Xperia 1 III. The phone should be named Sony Xperia 1 IV.

Sony has shown the history of the Xperia flagship line in a video and the next generation will be unveiled on May 11, 2022. It is not clear whether Sony will present the successors to the Xperia 5 III and Xperia 10 III in addition to the Xperia 1 IV.

The Japanese company did not share any details about the phone, but we had some unofficial information in the past.

So according to rumors, the Xperia 1 IV could be the phone with the best cameras. Overall, the Sony Xperia 1 IV is expected to bring a significantly improved camera system, which could actually make it the phone with the best cameras in the world. The Xperia 1 IV will reportedly have a 48 MP main camera sensor, a 48 MP or 50 MP ultra-wide sensor, a 48 MP telephoto sensor, and a periscope camera sensor.

The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, which will come combined with up to 16 GB of RAM. Recently, a report emerged stating that the Xperia 1 IV could cost at least CNY 8,999 ($ 1,415) in China, a higher starting price than its predecessor.
