Samsung unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S22 series in the middle of February this year. This series is presented with some improvements over the Galaxy S21 series and this is especially true of camera improvements with handy tools. Now, the South Korean company has announced that it will bring these tools, ie improvements, to some older models as well.
Samsung Galaxy S22 series includes three members – Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22 +, and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. They arrived as successors to the Galaxy S21 trio last year and according to information so far, Samsung has recorded excellent sales of the Galaxy S22 model.
Samsung’s special focus on this series is the camera, especially on third-party applications such as Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, etc. This improvement will now, among others, be given to some older Samsung phones.
Samsung’s devices in South Korea will first receive an upgrade with improvements, after which it will move to the rest of the world. Keep in mind that some improvements will only be available on some models.
Thus, for example, the enhanced night portrait mode will get the
- Samsung Galaxy S20 series,
- Samsung Galaxy S21 series,
- Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series,
- Galaxy Z Fold 2 and
- Z Fold 3.
The auto-framing function will be available on all these previously mentioned phones, except those from the Galaxy S20 series, with the Galaxy S21 FE being available.
In addition to the above, the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy Z Flip 4G / 5G will also have enhanced effects for video calls. This feature will also be available on third-party applications.

- Knox Meeting,
- Messenger (Meta),
- Microsoft Teams,
- WhatsApp,
- Zoom,
- BlueJeans,
- Webex Meetings, and
- CocoaTalk.
In addition, a particularly significant upgrade will receive the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Namely, this phone will receive support for the Expert RAW application, which offers many features. This app for Z Fold 3 will be available for download on the Galaxy Store as early as this month.
