Samsung is finally getting ready to launch its Ballie home robot this summer in the U.S. and South Korea. It’s been a long time coming – Ballie was first teased back in 2020, and Samsung has been slowly refining it ever since. Now, they’re teaming up with Google to bring Gemini AI into the mix, which could make Ballie a much smarter and more helpful assistant around the house.

Ballie isn’t just a rolling gadget anymore. With Gemini integrated, it can understand what it sees, hears, and senses in your environment. So if you ask, “Hey Ballie, how do I look?” it won’t just shrug—it’ll actually analyze your outfit and give real suggestions, like adding a necklace or switching to a brighter shirt. If you say you’re tired, it might suggest ways to improve your sleep or recommend a quick workout, pulling info straight from Google Search.

It’s not all about advice either. Ballie can handle practical stuff, like playing music, projecting videos, answering phone calls, and even checking in on your pets when you’re not home. It’s designed to slide right into your daily life and help out in small but useful ways.

Samsung’s partnership with Google shows they’re serious about making AI actually helpful, not just flashy. After years of demos and redesigns, Ballie finally looks ready to move from concept to something real people might want in their homes.
