Samsung halts One UI 7 update worldwide

Samsung has hit pause on the rollout of its One UI 7 update worldwide because of a major bug. The problem first showed up on Galaxy S24 phones in South Korea, where users reported issues like not being able to unlock their devices. As a result, Samsung pulled the update for all regions, including other models like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.

The update originally launched on April 7 after months of beta testing. At first, it seemed like the issue was tied to Galaxy S24 models with Exynos processors. But now, even Snapdragon versions of the phone are affected, leading Samsung to stop updates globally. This has left users frustrated, especially in places like the U.S., where updates have been delayed despite no initial signs of problems.

Samsung hasn’t said much about what happens to phones that already got the update. Most likely, they’ll release a fixed version soon, but for now, users will have to wait.

This delay is another setback for Galaxy owners who’ve already waited months for Android 15 and One UI 7. While the update promised cool new features like AI tools and better customization, Samsung’s handling of this rollout hasn’t gone smoothly.
