Although Samsung has upgraded a significant number of its phones to Android 12 so far, there are still those who have not received this upgrade. These include lower-end devices. One of them is the Samsung Galaxy A12. However, it seems that the Android 12 upgrade for this model is very close.
Samsung Galaxy A12 was introduced at the end of 2020 with Android 10. The phone has already received one major Android upgrade: Android 11 and One UI 3.1. The phone will soon receive another major upgrade: Android 12 and One UI 4.1, which will be its last major Android upgrade.
An indication that the phone will soon get Android 12 and One UI 4.1 is the fact that Samsung in India has started internal testing of the current Android 12 with the firmware version A12FXXU2CVD5. Also, in addition to Android 12 and One UI 4.1, the phone will also receive the latest security patch.
When it comes to Android 12, coated in Samsung’s One UI 4.1, there’s really a lot of novelty. However, the question is how many features will arrive on cheap phones?
It should be borne in mind that the Samsung Galaxy A12 is Samsung’s best-selling phone last year, which means that Samsung should pay a lot of attention to this phone.
The One UI 4.1 upgrade includes a variety of features such as Google Duo Live Sharing, smart widgets, and improved color palettes and portrait photos in low light. In addition, the upgrade will offer a way to share Wi-Fi passwords via Quick Share. There’s also the ability to share photos and videos with multiple friends via a single link, and photos shared via the Quick Share feature show your photo editing history.
