Earlier this week, it was announced that the upcoming Google Pixel 6a has received approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US. So it seems that we may not have to wait long for the mid-range Pixel 6a to be officially unveiled.

There have already been a couple of rumors surrounding the Pixel 6a’s specifications, and even the device’s alleged sales box has leaked. Now the famous tipster Yogesh Brar has outlined the entire specifications of the device.

Google Pixel 6a comes with a 6.62-inch OLED display that offers Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. CAD views of the device, which appeared in November 2021, suggest that the device has a centrally positioned selfie camera, which will most likely be an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor.

The back of the Pixel 6a has a horizontal camera module. It has a 12.2 megapixel Sony IMX363 main camera and a 12 megapixel Sony IMX386 ultra-wide camera. The device will be pre-installed with Android 12 OS as far as unlocking mode is concerned. The primary one should be a fingerprint scanner below the screen.

The Pixel 6a will run the Google Tensor GS101 chipset. It is the same SoC that runs the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro flagship phones. The device has 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. It has a 4,800 mAh battery that supports fast charging of 30 W.

In May, Google will hold its I/O 2022 developer conference. And the event could also be used to announce a mid-range Pixel 6a phone. There is currently no information on the price of the device.

We can only hope that Google has solved the problems plaguing the more expensive Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models and that the Pixel 6a will offer the expected user experience.
