The American company for payment and transfer of money, PayPal, suspended the provision of its services in Russia today.
She cited “current circumstances” as the reason and thus joined many financial and technological companies in suspending operations after the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine.

“In the current circumstances, we are suspending PayPal services in Russia,” company president and CEO Dan Shulman confirmed in a statement, Reuters reported.
Shulman said that the company “stands by the international community in condemning Russia’s violent military aggression in Ukraine.”
PayPal, which only provided services in Russia for cross-border transactions, stopped accepting new users in Russia on Wednesday.
Ukrainian government officials have called on PayPal to leave Russia and help them collect donations.
