Oppo introduced the first 150W fast charging technology at MWC. The commercial name of the new technology is SUPERVOOC, and there is a new system for cooling and conserving the battery. The charging speed of the 4500 mAh battery from 0 to 100% is only 15 minutes, while for 50% only five minutes are enough.
These numbers look really impressive, especially for those whose smartphone batteries rarely last all day. By comparison, Samsung’s 45W charging in the latest top model is literally four times slower.

SUPERVOOC is compatible with Power Delivery and PPS standards, and to extend battery life takes care of a new technology called Battery Health Engine (BHE), which allows it up to 1600 charge and discharge cycles, after which its capacity will be reduced to 80%. This number, on the other hand, is twice as high as the iPhone 13 Pro Max boasts.
