OnePlus Ace comes with a 6.7 “AMOLED screen, Full HD + resolution, and 120 Hz refresh rates. A hole at the top of the screen hides a front camera with a 16 MP sensor. This is the first OnePlus phone with a hole in the middle of the screen, not in the corner, and under the screen is a fingerprint scanner.
The back of the phone features a rectangular cutout, which is connected to the right frame of the phone. This is a hitherto unseen camera cutout design. It features a 50 MP main camera sensor with OIS support, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2 MP macro sensor, and an LED flash. In the lower right corner of the cover is the OnePlus logo, which is another change compared to previous OnePlus phones.
A 4500 mAh battery is hidden under the phone cover. It is a dual-cell battery that supports 150 W SuperVOOC fast charging, which is also the most impressive feature of this phone.
OnePlus stated that they have implemented several battery protection measures, and claim that the phone should retain more than 80% of the battery capacity after 1600 charging cycles. It remains to be seen in practice whether this will be the case.
MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 Max runs this phone. It is paired with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. Out of the box, the phone comes with Android 12 and ColorOS 12.1.
