OnePlus’ president for the Chinese market, Li Jie, confirmed that the OnePlus 11 will receive 4 major Android updates and 5 years of security support. Therefore, the recently presented flagship of the Chinese manufacturer will go all the way to Android 17, which, we believe, will please users.
This kind of software support puts OnePlus ‘side by side’ with the strongest Samsung and Google smartphones. But something like that comes with a high price. Namely, according to the president of OnePlus for China, the software maintenance of mobile phones more than four years after their introduction costs them over 14 million euros.

However, it should be kept in mind that this information comes from OnePlus’ president for the Chinese market and that it is still unknown if this will also apply to the global versions of the phone.
As a reminder, the OnePlus 11 comes with a curved 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO3 screen of 120 Hz and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. On the back of the mobile phone, there is a three-camera system with Hasselblad’s signature, led by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor.
