New MacBook Pro models, with XDR displays, are expected later this year

Apple laptops have been using LCD screens for a long time, but that could change later in the year. Rumors suggest that the company could announce new 14-inch and 16-inch models that will have XDR displays, which is the branding that Apple uses for mini LED display technology.

A TrendForce report mentions that two new MacBook Pro laptops are expected later in 2021, and the 14-inch model will be the latest addition to the line. Apple is currently offering the MacBook Pro in 13- and 16-inch versions, but information has surfaced earlier that a 14-inch model could also be in the pipeline. It is not known whether he will replace the 13-inch laptop.

Apple upgraded its 13-inch MacBook Pro to the M1 chipset late last year, and the 16-inch version is expected to receive the same upgrade later this year.

Recently leaked sketches show that Apple could drop the Touch Bar from future MacBook Pro laptops and that the company will provide more ports and connectivity options for future models.
