Meerkat Mini Linux PC comes with 12th generation Intel Core CPU

System76 introduces the latest version of the Meerkat mini Linux PC, with 10th to 12th-generation Intel Core processors, up to 16 TB of storage, and up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM (3200 MHz).

Despite its small dimensions, Meerkat’s performance enables multitasking and connection with up to 4 monitors. Also, it can be mounted on VESA-compatible monitors.

It comes pre-installed with Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS or Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) OS.

Configurable with 10th, 11th, or 12th generation Intel Core processors with up to 12 cores. Regardless of the selected CPU, the Meerkat is available with up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory at 3200 MHz.

The 10th Gen Intel Core processor variant only comes with up to 8 TB of SSD storage, while the 11th or 12 Gen Intel Core processors come with up to 16 TB of SSD storage.


Whether saving physical space or a more significant amount of storage space is more important to you, you can choose between a lower and a higher version of the case.

In addition to being used for e.g. editing movies and photos, playing music, checking e-mail, and surfing the Internet, Meerkat can also be used as a mini home or SMB server.

In terms of connectivity, the Meerkat supports Intel Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5 GbE Ethernet, two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4a ports via USB Type-C, 7.1 channel audio via HDMI/USB Type-C, three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, up to two USB 4 / Thunderbolt 4 (Type-C) ports and a 3.5 mm headphone/microphone port.
