At the end of February 2020, Huawei introduced the foldable Huawei Mate Xs. The company believes that the time has come to present its successor, the Huawei Mate Xs 2. The Chinese company has now announced when the Huawei Mate Xs 2 will be introduced.
On the popular Chinese social network Weibo, Huawei announced that the new folding phone from this company will be presented on April 28. The presentation event will be held in China.
Based on teaser photos released by Huawei, the successor to the Mate Xs phone should bring an upgraded hinge mechanism that connects the two screens. The phone will reportedly have a 50 MP main camera sensor, a 13 MP ultra-wide sensor, and an 8 MP telephoto sensor. Reportedly, there could be a 4500 mAh battery with support for fast charging of 66 W under the phone cover.
MyFix Guide mentions that Huawei’s phone number PAL-A00, which recently appeared on a listing, could be Huawei Mate Xs 2. It was revealed that it will be powered by Kirin 9000 chip in 4G edition, and will have Harmony OS.
As a reminder, Huawei Mate Xs has a two-layer structure with extra power via a foldable OLED panel. Between them is optical glue. The diagonal of the unfolded screen is 8 ″ with a resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels. When the Mate Xs folds, then its size is 6.6 ″ with a screen ratio of 19.5: 9, while the back has a super high screen with a ratio of 25: 9. When it comes to the Huawei Mate Xs folding smartphone battery, comes with a 4500 mAh battery and support for fast charging of 55 W.
