If you’re a U.S. college student, Google is offering you 15 months of its $20/month Gemini Advanced – for free. The deal is available until June 30, 2025, and all you need is a valid school email ending in .edu.
Once you sign up, you’ll get the Google One AI Premium plan. That includes:
- 2 TB of cloud storage for Gmail, Drive, and Photos
- Extra features in Google Meet, Calendar, and Photos (like longer video calls and unlimited Magic Editor saves)
- 10% back on Google Store purchases
- Access to Gemini tools inside Gmail, Docs, Slides, and Sheets
- NotebookLM Plus with upgraded study features
- Gemini Live for real-time help
- Canvas, a new creative tool
This offer only works on personal Google accounts, not school-managed ones. If you already pay for Google One or signed up with a discount, you’ll have to cancel and wait for your billing to reset before you can use the free plan.
With this move, Google joins others like OpenAI and Perplexity, all trying to win over students as AI becomes more central to learning and research.
