Google has confirmed that the Pixel 5a 5G is in preparation and is on track to be released later in the year. Earlier, there were reports that Google had rejected plans to produce the Pixel 5a 5G phone due to a global shortage of components.
“The Pixel 5a 5G has not been canceled. It will be available later in the year in the US and Japan and will be released in the period when the A series was released last year,” the company said in a statement. Google unveiled the Pixel 4a 5G last September.
