Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Edge has encountered an unexpected delay, pushing its launch date from the initially projected April to May or June 2025. This postponement comes as a surprise to many, given that multiple sources had previously reported an April 15 release.
According to ETNews, the delay is not attributed to quality issues but rather an internal decision to reassess the launch schedule. This reevaluation has also led to a shift from an in-person unveiling event to an online-only presentation, where Samsung plans to release a teaser video alongside detailed specifications, pricing, and the new release date.

The Galaxy S25 Edge has garnered attention for its ultra-thin design, measuring approximately 5.84mm in thickness and weighing around 162 grams. The device is expected to feature a 6.6-inch 2K display, a dual-camera setup with a 200MP main lens and a 12MP ultrawide lens, and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Additionally, it is anticipated to include 256GB of storage, a 3,900 mAh battery supporting 25W wired charging, and run on Samsung’s One UI 7 based on Android 15.
The delay places the Galaxy S25 Edge’s launch just weeks ahead of Samsung’s next foldable smartphone release, expected in July 2025. While the postponement may disappoint eager consumers, it reflects Samsung’s commitment to ensuring a polished and refined product upon release.
As the new launch window approaches, Samsung is expected to provide further updates and insights into the Galaxy S25 Edge, maintaining anticipation for this sleek addition to their smartphone lineup.
