Facebook has announced that it is expanding the scope of its data transfer tools to posts and notes on the social network. The company first introduced the ability to transfer photos and videos to platforms such as Google Photos in December 2019, and then expanded to multiple platforms over time. Textual content, however, was still only available on Facebook – until now.
If you want to move your text posts to another location, Facebook points out that you can now choose Google Docs, Blogger, or WordPress.com as options. Just like with other types of data, when you request a transfer, Facebook will execute it in the background and notify you by email after the transfer is complete.
Facebook points out that the tool was created with a focus on privacy and you will have to re-enter your password to start transferring data. In addition, the data is encrypted during transmission, so curious people will not be able to see it.

Facebook’s Privacy Progress page was also updated today to provide more information and transparency in its approach to protecting users ’privacy.
The content transfer tool is available in the Your Facebook Information section in the Facebook account settings, and it is also possible to download the information if the user wants to keep it locally.
