If you have a bunch of conversations on Viber that you don’t follow or that the conversations you have are overloaded with messages, don’t worry – the application offers several editing options that will be useful to you.
Clear the content of the conversation without leaving the group
Sometimes, when we are part of a group conversation that sends loads of messages or pictures, those messages can overwhelm our smartphone’s storage. Viber allows you to delete content from conversations without having to leave. All you have to do is open the conversation you want to clear, swipe left on the phone tap, and select the Clear Chat Content option. This way you will delete all images and files from the conversation without deleting the conversation itself.
Delete messages or conversation
Have you ever accidentally sent a message to the wrong person? If so, don’t worry – Viber allows you to delete individual messages. To delete a specific message, press and hold the message you want to delete. From the menu that appears, select the option to delete and then “Delete for everyone“. this will delete the message and let the other person know that the message has been deleted. What he will not be able to read is its content. You can also delete messages sent to you, but make sure the sender still sees them. If you want to delete the entire conversation, enter the conversation, swipe left, and select the “Delete this chat” option.
Silence the conversation
If you do not want to delete the conversation, and you want to stay in it, you can silence it so that the participants in the conversation do not see it. The mute option will mute all notifications of new messages. You can mute the conversation for a while or turn it on again. To do this, open the topic you want to mute, swipe left, and select the “Mute chat” option.
