Apple introduced the iPhone 13 series last fall. Four models were presented – iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The situation with the sale of these models seems to be similar to that of the iPhone 12 series. The iPhone 13 mini is by far the lowest-selling model, while the Pro versions record the best results.
Sales of the iPhone 13 series started great after the introduction, but at some point, Apple found itself in trouble because suppliers failed to supply them with enough components, which led to Apple having to cut production a bit. This problem was quickly resolved and after that came various reports of iPhone 13 series sales, which are great.
Now The Elec reports that the company from Cupertino has increased the production of Pro models from the current iPhone 13 series – iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Demand for these two models is reported to be higher than expected.
Apple produced one million iPhone 13 Pro models in the first quarter of this year, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max was produced in as many as 3.5 million copies. However, as of the second quarter of 2022, the iPhone 13 Pro recorded a significant increase to 8 million orders, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max recorded an increase to 6.5 million. That is an increase of 10 million compared to the previous quarter.
This is very good news for Apple, as the average sales price of the iPhone 13 series will grow, as sales are mostly made up of Pro models, which are significantly more expensive than the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini.
