Apple has broadened the reach of Apple Intelligence, its personal intelligence system designed to provide helpful and relevant information while prioritizing user privacy. With the release of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4, Apple Intelligence now supports additional languages, including French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. Localized English versions for Singapore and India have also been introduced, making these features accessible in nearly all regions worldwide.
Apple Intelligence expands to a new platform with an initial set of features available in U.S. English with Apple Vision Pro — helping users communicate, collaborate, and express themselves in entirely new ways. Now, Vision Pro users can proofread, rewrite, and summarize text using Writing Tools; compose text from scratch using ChatGPT in Writing Tools; explore new ways to express themselves visually with Image Playground; create the perfect emoji for any conversation with Genmoji; and much more.
Apple Intelligence now in EU
For the first time, iPhone and iPad users in the European Union can access Apple Intelligence features. Additionally, an initial set of these features is now available on Apple Vision Pro in U.S. English, enhancing communication and creative expression for users.
The latest update introduces several new functionalities:
- Priority Notifications: Utilizing Apple Intelligence, this feature highlights important alerts that may require immediate attention, displaying them prominently at the top of the notification stack on the Home Screen.
- Memory Movies on Mac: Users can create memory movies by simply typing a description, streamlining the process of compiling personalized video content.
- Sketch Style in Image Playground: A new Sketch style has been added to Image Playground, enabling the creation of academic and highly detailed sketches.
Apple Intelligence is engineered with a strong emphasis on privacy. It primarily processes data on-device, and for tasks requiring more extensive models, utilizes Private Cloud Compute to extend the privacy and security of iPhone into the cloud, ensuring user data remains protected.
These updates underscore Apple’s commitment to enhancing user experience through intelligent features while maintaining stringent privacy standards.
